We’re a Sydney-based eggless dessert brand blending Indian and Western flavours into something fresh, meaningful, and hard to find elsewhere.

Whether you grew up eating laddoos and gulab jamun or layered cakes and brownies, our menu offers a little bit of both — familiar comfort and exciting fusion.

Why We Started

Here’s a personal note from Simer, our founder – the story behind EatWithSimer.

"We Didn’t Just Want to Sell Sweets. We Wanted to Change How They’re Seen."

We grew up celebrating with laddoos, barfi, and halwa — but somehow, they never made it to the modern dessert tables.

It began with a simple idea:

What if Indian desserts could look beautiful, taste fresh, and feel gift-worthy — without losing their roots?

This is the story of how EatWithSimer was born.

The Sweet Start

I didn’t grow up blowing out candles on cake — I grew up celebrating with laddoos, barfi, and halwa.

In our home in India, desserts weren’t just food — they were how we marked festivals, shared joy, or simply said, I’m thinking of you.

My love for sweets started young, watching my mum create magic with a few simple ingredients. Over time, I began experimenting too — first with Indian sweets, then baking cakes for birthdays and neighbourhood celebrations.

Moving to Australia – and Missing Home

When I moved to Australia, I fell in love with a whole new world of desserts — brownies, mousses, cheesecakes — but there was always something missing.

I craved the flavours I grew up with: cardamom, saffron, gulkand and ghee. So I started searching for those familiar flavours — the ones that felt like home.

What Was Missing in Indian Sweets Here

The Indian sweets I found here were often too sweet, not fresh, or lacked that homemade touch. They had the names I knew — but not the soul I remembered.

And after falling in love with modern desserts — beautifully boxed and thoughtfully styled — I couldn’t help but compare.

Why did Indian sweets here come in plastic containers or flimsy paper boxes, with no ingredient info or presentation?

No care for how they looked. No handwritten note. No list of ingredients or allergy information.

Nothing that made you feel proud to give them as a gift — or confident about what was inside.

Just bulk-made sugary sweets — with no story, no feeling, and often no transparency.

The Big What-If

That’s when the idea began to take shape.

What if we could keep the flavours we love… but reimagine the way they are shared?

What if Indian desserts could be modern, thoughtful, and beautifully presented — without losing their roots?

The Eggless Challenge - Problem

Many of the Western-style desserts like brownies, cakes, and mousses — relied on eggs for their texture and lift. And in most people’s minds, eggless versions were always a compromise.

So I took it as a personal challenge: to create eggless desserts that didn’t taste eggless — soft, rich, fudgy, fluffy, and full of flavour.

I wanted to prove you could enjoy the best of both worlds: the familiar comfort of ghee and cardamom, with the touch of a bakery-style cake — no eggs, no compromise.

What started as weekend experiments turned into something bigger. In 2020, I shared a few creations online. The response? Unexpected and heartwarming.

Orders, messages, repeat customers. All from people who felt seen in these flavours. People who missed home. People curious to try something new.

By May 2021, EatWithSimer was no longer just a hobby — it became a brand with a purpose: To blend tradition and creativity into desserts that people actually want to gift, eat, and remember.

Since then, we’ve served thousands — from first-generation migrants craving a taste of home, to Australians gifting their Indian friends something meaningful.

3. Pickup or Delivery

Pickup is available from Eastwood. Delivery is available across Sydney and Australia for most items.
